Birthday #170817

 ootd

Last couple of weeks, I was celebrating my 25th birthday. Yes, it's my 25th. I know, I'm getting older each year. In this specific adulthood journey, I felt excited yet super nervous. Feeling overwhelming over the past year crazy stuff and it's has been a quite long journey. And I'm still here, at the same state, but in different circumstances. I just wonder, while everyone at my age seem to get their life perfectly in sync with the society nature prejudice, why am I still in the same position?, unfair enough for me to feel sad and lonely and loathing a negativity all around.

Getting a degree, having a starter job, getting married, having kids, it's all pointing at me like I was a criminal whose getting caught on not doing so. The reality is harder, here I am, still being a university student whose trying to get a degree in which happiness is dependent on it. Is it? or isn't?
I even try to googled it "Graduating at 27, is it really a bad thing?", and I found this forum where someone asking the same question as mine and all the members there answering it very much with kindness.

"Ah, forget about being kind, a woman like you should prioritize the "marriage while you were young" thing."
That's the understated here, the prejudice of Indonesian people. They have this specific ideal for when then what your life should be doing. Maybe it works with the past generation, but we are not living in the past anymore, we are moving to this "Millennial" things that the unicorn is the mascot of it. How every each person have this unique ability to live their life. Also, we doing a campaign that diversity is a blessing. Though there is so much to work on with all this matter.

It feels like we are in a running field, we compete as our life is the bargain. Well, I'm sorry to say, but I choose to walk instead of running. The reason is pretty much simple, because I like to enjoy the view. The view that you could not see while running.

Here we are, the three of us. One still a student, and the other two are working in the same field. Love to enjoy our life, single, always ready to mingle, and we are a food hunter. We have this bonding time while enjoying our meal.
I'm wearing this vintage skirt that belongs to my grandmother, and the brown Egyptian theme handbag from my mom. Also wearing a colorful statement necklace just to add some boldness.

We are trying a new place called Teras Dara, they have a cute interior, which embodied a garden theme inside the building. We ordered a caesar salad for Dyah, fettucini carbonara and red velvet latte for me, and chocolate pancake for Oji. It tastes pretty good, but not so outstanding. A nice place to hang on a good afternoon.

Have you felt the same way as me about living this life while in your twentieth?
