I like to bake cakes and cookies this day. At home, my dad always successful on making a cake, maybe because he learns all of it from my late grandmother. I thought maybe there is a good baker gene from him and my grandma in me. Nonetheless, there is some up and down along with it. While still in the learning process, I want to share the recipe with you all. It's a basic vanilla cookie, very easy to do. I think it would be a good practice for a first timer like me.
Ingredient :
- All purpose flour ( 1 1/2 cup )
- Melted butter ( 1 stick )
- Egg yolks ( 2 )
- Granulated Sugar ( 1/2 cup )
- Salt ( 1/2 tsp )
- Baking Powder ( 1/2 tsp )
- Baking Soda ( 1/2 tsp )
- Vanilla Extract ( 1 1/2 tsp )
- Sprinkles
How To :
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until it's light, then add in the egg yolk.
- Add the vanilla extract and salt, mix it until well combined.
- Add baking soda and baking powder to the flour, then put it into the batter a little by little. mixing the batter until it's loose and crumbles.
- Now you can add in the sprinkles into it and mixing well.
- Put a baking sheet with baking paper. Use your hand to shape the batter into a small round ball. Place the ball about 1-inch apart on prepared baking sheets. Then put the sheets in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven for 200°C.
- After 30 minutes in refrigerator, bake the cookie batter for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Take the cookies out of the oven, then let them cool down for a 10 minutes, and you can enjoyed it immediately or you can put it in a jar for later serving.
