HAKA Dimsum Shop

I like to snack and one of my favorites is Dimsum. This place has solely served Dimsum for their main menu. Haka Dimsum Shop that I tried is located at BSD, Serpong. They have a new branch in Kemang, and it's always crowded. The BSD branch was crowded, but me and my friends still getting a table without a waiting list.

The place was adding an urban contemporary interior with all expose concrete. There is some  old Chinese poster, and the Haka neon sign on the wall. It's neat and feels dynamic. Haka Dimsum open 24 hours full week, so it's pretty awesome. If you were hungry in the middle of the night, craving for something light, Haka Dimsum is the place for it.

I came with three of my friends, so we ordered plenty of the dishes, and share it. The steamed dimsum menu came with a bamboo container, while the fried menu came with a Chinese traditional pattern plate.

We ordered six savory dishes, and one sweet dish. Also, we ordered one noodle dish which I didn't get the picture, because I'm busy eating. Bakmie Sapi Haka is a noodle with beef, it's chewy and there is no flour taste in it, and the broth is very rich. Super tasty.

From up left to right: Cheong Fan, Shomai, Fu fu dao, and Hakau

I tried Cheong Fan, it looks like Kwetiau (rice flour noodles) but it served with a sauce and Lumpia (spring roll). I love how it tastes fresh and there is no slightly MSG flavour in any of the foods. My favorite would be Hakau which filled with shrimp, and the Shomai is rich with chicken and shrimp. Fufudao is a silk tofu with broth that I think the same with the Bakmie Sapi broth.

For the fried dimsum: Lumpia Udang Kulit Tahu, and Pangsit Udang. Both filled with shrimp, the difference is the crispy outside skin. I'm very bad at explaining food ingredients, am sorry if I didn't called it right. Both are crispy outside, but inside is a rich tender shrimp dough.

Dessert is a must, and I tried their Pao Telur Asin, it's a black steamed bun filled with a sweet savoury salted egg paste. You can see the paste is melted beautifully. But for me, the Pao is a bit too sweet, if only they turn down the sweetness level it would be perfect.

The price range between every dish is Rp 21.000 - Rp 30.000 which it's not that expensive. It is worth for the quality they served within every tasteful menu.

That's my review for the Haka Dimsum Shop.
