Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bun

    I  saw this bread everywhere on the social media. It got me want to try it, but because of the pandemic, I can't go out and it's kinda risky to buy food outside, so I challenge to make it myself. I did it, so happy I could make the bread fresh and the cream cheese. It's really good, you need to try it ♥

Ingredients:

Bread Dough:
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Instant Yeast
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg

Cream Cheese:
  • 1 Package of Cream Cheese
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Milk

Garlic Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 1 bud Garlic (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Parsley,etc)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt

How To:

  • Put warm milk, water, sugar and instant yeast in a large bowl. Then add all purpose flour. Mixed it, add egg and butter with salt. Stretch the dough until smooth and elastic. Round the dough, leave it for 1 hour until fluffy and expand.

  • Divide the dough into 5 rounded portions for one baking pan, then leave it again for 30 minutes. Used a baking paper so it won't be sticky on the pan.

  • Bake the dough for 15-20 minutes with a temperature of 180 degrees until it becomes brown. Cool the bread.

  • Put all of the cream cheese ingredients in one bowl, mixed it well until it becomes creamy texture. Put it in a triangle bag. 
  • In another small bowl, add the melted butter with mince garlic, Italian seasoning, egg, and salt. 
  •  Cut the bread into 4 parts, then pipe the cream cheese onto the bread.
  • Then smear the melted butter mixture on top of the bread with a brush, bake at 160 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Serve it while it's warm.

    What I love about this recipe, you can feel the outside of the bread is crunchy while inside it's soft and creamy. Super yummy! One batch could make 10-12 bread for a small one or 8-9 bread if you like it big.
